Formed in 2011 and based in South Surrey, BC, flutist Kate Yoshitomi and guitarist Michael Gillette are Silverwood; a duo that performs a wide variety of music including jazz, Latin, Celtic, folk, and “golden oldies.” New music is always being added to the duo’s repertoire to enhance the audience experience.
Have a special celebration, event, or gathering coming up? Silverwood has performed at many functions including weddings, private parties, celebrations of life, and non-profit fund-raising events. The duo has also participated in community events in White Rock, Surrey, and Langley. Some of these include Christmas on the Peninsula (White Rock/Surrey) and the Sounds of Summer concert series (Langley).
